Printable Capo Guide

1. Figure out the Actual Key of the song-

With Chordal, the key is next to the name of the song, and also listed below as the key. 

2. If the Actual Key isn't the key you want to strum in (such as G, C, D, A, or E), we want to look underneath the actual key in the list of keys below until we see a desired key (G, C, D, A, E).

3. We capo the amount from the actual to the desired key (not including the original key when counting).

4. Usually we strum in the lowest possible position, but there are often multiple keys that are possible to play a song in.
